Advancing research: Introducing our new PhD candidate
The Jackstädtzentrum hosts diverse research activities in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation. In this post, we present the research project of Marco Grüter, an external doctoral researcher at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research.
His project, Sustainable Transformation in Germany’s Chemical SME Sector, investigates how small and medium-sized enterprises can implement sustainability-oriented changes while maintaining economic performance.
Key research focuses:
- Conditions for innovations that are ecologically, socially, and economically beneficial.
- Balancing short-term profitability and long-term sustainability.
- Influence of stakeholders on sustainability decisions.
Impact on competitiveness, resilience, and employer attractiveness.
Marco’s work builds on the triple-bottom-line framework and insights from sustainability management, stakeholder theory, and innovation research. We look forward to the valuable insights he will bring to chemical SMEs in Germany!
